DENNIS Properties traces its roots back to 1978. In that year, Dennis Trooien, the primary owner and Chief Executive Officer of DENNIS Properties, began investing in Minnesota real estate as well as his career as a real estate lawyer for a major Twin Cities law firm. Almost three decades later, Dennis Trooien and DENNIS Properties would acquire, develop, sell, or hold in excess of 1.5 million square feet of office, retail, warehouse, industrial, and residential space.
As both a real estate attorney and developer for almost three decades, Dennis Trooien has been involved in thousands of real estate transactions. These transactions and activities have included:

DENNIS Properties and its leadership have roots firmly established in the Minnesota community. Denny Trooien, the principal owner and Chief Executive Officer of DENNIS Properties, was born, raised, educated, and careered in Minnesota. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1974. At Gustavus, he was an All Conference hockey player and an All American hockey player. After Gustavus, he attended William Mitchell College of Law and graduated first in his class, earned Magna Cum Laude honors, and was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. Dennis Trooien has maintained his business offices and residence in the Twin Cities since entering the real estate field in 1978. He has also been active in Minnesota nonprofit corporations and community service.
